Organized by the Office for European Affairs, and in the presence of the Vice-president of Assembly of Autonomous Province of Vojvodina, Siniša Lazić, a meeting was held with the representatives of the Tourist Organization of Serbia, Public Water Management Company “Vode Vojvodine” and other associations with reference to the prospects and opportunities which may arise in the event the International Conference on Natural Channel Systems was held in our country in 2009. 
A meeting between the Italian partner, Mr. Giancarlo Malacarne and interested representatives of local self-government and institutions of Autonomous Province of Vojvodina was held at the Office for European Affairs yesterday regarding the realization of the “Local Action Groups (LAG) for Rural Development” project, which will be realized within the INePS cooperation program with the Republic of Italy. 
“Representatives of three Vojvodina local self-governments with the best development action plans will have an opportunity to gain insight into the work of Local Action Groups (LAGs) for rural development in Italy at the end of this year”, as it was announced yesterday by Ruggiero Tabossi, Ministry of Economic Development of Italy, and Predrag Novikov, Director of the Office for European Affairs, Executive Council of Autonomous Province of Vojvodina.
Novi Sad, 15 July – By the the end of the year, inhabitants of Vojvodina working on rural development will have received training, on the basis of cooperation between the Autonomous Province of Vojvodina and the Republic of Italy, via the Office for European Affairs, and within INePS project. Upon the tender procedure, which was announced at the press conference of the Office for European Affairs, the most successful local development plans will be refined in Italy with the help of local action group (LAG) Delta 2000 experts. 
Novi Sad/Ulm, 11 July – In the past few days, the International Danube Festival 2008 was held in Ulm, Baden-Württemberg State, Germany, under the sponsorship of the President of the Government of Baden-Württemberg State, Günther Oettinger. The Autonomous Province of Vojvodina, with its economic, tourist, cultural and other contents, was also presented at the Danube Festival, along with a lot of other cities and the Danube river basin parts. Apart from Vojvodina and Serbia, representatives of Hungary, Croatia, Austria and the host country, Germany were present as well. 
Novi Sad, 9 July – Organized by the Office for European Affairs, training for children of the Association "Parent” has started todayat the Educational Centre of the Office for European Affairs. Thus, cooperation between the Office and the Association was institutionalized. The Association works as a network of associations in Novi Sad, Belgrade, Kragujevac and Niš, which operate as regional centers covering the whole country. The Association was founded by the parents “who from their personal experience recognized the need for systematic and effective support to parenthood in our country”, said Dragana Ćorić, from the Association "Parent” in Novi Sad. 
Novi Sad/Maastricht, 8 July – During his stay in Maastricht, the Director of the Office for European Affairs, Predrag Novikov talked to the representatives of the European Institute of Public Administration (EIPA). It was agreed that the Office for European Affairs would be the Institute’s partner in the Republic of Serbia and that it would provide support to the administration in Vojvodina and in the whole country. During his visit to Maastricht, Novikov attended the seminar “The State of Integration in the EU Financial Sector”, where he talked to the management of European Commission’s DG Internal Market and Services, Department of Banking and Investments. 
Novi Sad, 3 July – The International Danube Festival 2008 will be held once again in Ulm, Baden-Württemberg State, Germany from 4th to 13th July, under the sponsorship of the President of Government of Baden-Württemberg State, Mr. Günther Oettinger. With great support of the Danube Bureau, the representatives of the Office for European Affairs, as well as other representatives of the Executive Council of the Autonomous Province of Vojvodina will be present at this event. 
Novi Sad, 2 July – In preparation for the organization of 4th Conference of European Regions and Cities, organized by the Institute of the Regions of Europe (IRE) in the Austrian city of Salzburg, the Director of the Office for European Affairs talked yesterday to Dr. Franz Schausberger, President of IRE. This year‘s conference, to be held from 24th-27th August in Salzburg, highlights the growing economic importance of the regions and cities of Europe. The Office for European Affairs has been an IRE member since 2006.
