Office for European Affairs opened a call for proposals for project improvement in Italy


The Office for European Affairs opened a call for proposals for rural development projects to be improved in Italy, on the basis of cooperation between the Autonomous Province of Vojvodina and Italian partners.
Training will have been provided for Vojvodina representatives engaged in rural development by the end of the year, within the INePS project and at the expense of Italian partners. After the call closure date, which was announced last week at the press conference at the Office for European Affairs, the best local rural development projects will be improved in Italy with the help of Local Action Group (LAG) Delta 2000 experts.

Wailing does not attract EU funds

kep“Representatives of three Vojvodina local self-governments with the best development action plans will have an opportunity to gain insight into the work of Local Action Groups (LAGs) for rural development in Italy at the end of this year”, as it was announced yesterday by Ruggiero Tabossi, Ministry of Economic Development of Italy, and Predrag Novikov, Director of the Office for European Affairs, Executive Council of Autonomous Province of Vojvodina.
”The project aim is transfer of best experiences from EU Member Countries to Vojvodina. If LAGs are not formed, it will be very difficult to attract EU IPA Funds”, explained Novikov for “Dnevnik”, and gave warning that the new EU Member States used less than 30 percent of the funds allocated to them. Development of villages: to Italy via the Office for European Affairs

Cooperation “floats” on the Danube, from the Elm to the Black Sea

kepNovi Sad/Ulm, 11 July – In the past few days, the International Danube Festival 2008 was held in Ulm, Baden-Württemberg State, Germany, under the sponsorship of the President of the Government of Baden-Württemberg State, Günther Oettinger.  The Autonomous Province of Vojvodina, with its economic, tourist, cultural and other contents, was also presented at the Danube Festival, along with a lot of other cities and the Danube river basin parts. Mastering of computer skills as support to parenting skills


kepNovi Sad, 9 July – Organized by the Office for European Affairs, training for children of the Association "Parent” has started todayat the Educational Centre of the Office for European Affairs. Thus, cooperation between the Office and the Association was institutionalized. The Association works as a network of associations in Novi Sad, Belgrade, Kragujevac and Niš, which operate as regional centers covering the whole country. Office for European Affairs becomes a partner of the European Institute of Public Administration in Maastricht

kepNovi Sad/Maastricht, 8 July – During his stay in Maastricht, the Director of the Office for European Affairs, Predrag Novikov talked to the representatives of the European Institute of Public Administration (EIPA). It was agreed that the Office for European Affairs would be the Institute’s partner in the Republic of Serbia and that it would provide support to the administration in Vojvodina and in the whole country. kepNovi Sad, 2 July – In preparation for the organization of 4th Conference of European Regions and Cities, organized by the Institute of the Regions of Europe (IRE) in the Austrian city of Salzburg, the Director of the Office for European Affairs talked yesterday to Dr. Franz Schausberger, President of IRE.
